I have had a lot of theories on lost… but now this one is a theory that fills all of the different aspects of the plot:

The Dharma Initiative is not actually operative. It was, but back in early/mid 80’s. The “incident” mentioned on the orientation film is not the same incident marked on the blast door.

The Dharma Initiative study psychology, para-psychology, meteorology, zoology, etc… and is clear that they have found some kind of natural powers. There was a rebelion on the team, for one corrupted thing: the power of the black smoke to read minds, to capture information of the people minds originaly to study people but some group develop the human appliance of this: to capture all mind’s info, and fill the “virgin” brain of a child with this to make some kind of “re-born”. If the child incorporated all the senses, the feelings, the memories, etc, this child is a kind of genius, but is the same original guy with 4 years age again! It is for this that they want children to live “forever”.

The Others still operate “The Swan” station: some kind of magnetic power, in order to alter instruments of navigation is perfect to get people to the island: if are “good people” or children, they are taken to make a new “re-born” of some guy there was a man who knew all this: kelvin.

It’s for this investigate the island, and drew a map on the blast door, because in this area, the black light avoid camera to take images.

Who is “him”? a “brillant man”, like said henry gale…and everybody is “nothing!”. “Him” is only a “mind content”, actually incorporated in Walt’s body..

I Imagine the finale very simple: Michael must kill Walt.

For this there are two kind of clues in the show, mixed: the ideas of the original Dharma Initiative (now out of order) like the orientation videos, the hatches, the incident of the dharma initiative, etc… and there are others reveleted in the blast door map, related with the new reality on the island, after the corrupted team working on the peoples minds.

The Flight 815 survivors are the first time of an inteligent team, working to reveal all the true, and for this the others are fighting against they.

The facts of interactive web pages we all of us, the show audience, like oceanic airlines, driveshaft, etc, where there are cleary notes about the crash, is a proof about the imposible theories about the purgatory, the hallucinations, etc, because one thing we know REALLY certain: WE (the audience) are alive, in our houses, watching the web pages, where there are comments about the crash, the missing people, etc.
