Behind the Tempest

Tempest

My good friend Doc Artz got to visit the Tempest while they were filming 4.06 “The Other Woman” and got to see the station (or WW2 bunker) being transformed for the show.

In October I had the opportunity to visit the location that doubled as the exterior of “The Tempest,” Cooper Battery, a WWII gun battery at Kualoa Ranch. The ranch serves as the location for many of the exteriors in Lost and I’ll have a couple of dozen photos for you of that area soon.

Make sure you check out his blog so you can see what the Tempest looked like before Lost took it over!

Dharma Initiative, Station 6 “The Orchid”

During the LOST panel at Comic Con they showed clips of a new Dharma Initiative orientation video. This video is for station six “The Orchid” and features a duplicating bunny and yet another name for our old friend Dr Marvin Candle.

At the beginning you can hear whispers in the background, a few things I picked out were “murder” and “January 22nd”.. but I cant be sure if that is what is being said. Also spliced in is a picture of Gerald Degroot and the Hanso Foundation building.

Penny-Arcade Takes a Swing at ‘Lost’

Penny-Arcade Lost Penny-Arcade, a video game comic strip, posted a ‘Lost’ comic today claiming that the show has fallen of its horse. Im not sure I am ready to go as far as saying ‘Lost’ is lost but this season so far just doesn’t seem right to me. What does everyone else think of the state of “Lost”?

Here is what the writers said about their latest comic.

I’m acting as Gabe’s proxy in this strip - essentially, he’s “broken up” with Lost. It’s complicated by the fact that he holds weekly “Lost Nights,” where Lost-themed snacks are sometimes offered, but he’s come to conclusion that there’s no story actually being told. He no longer believes that events are happening according to some overarching plan. Watching the show now is apparently awful, because where he once perceived a carefully revealed structure he now just sees a couple guys out back beneath a tarp, flashlights held under the chin.

‘Lost’ 3.05 - Cost of Living Recap

Eko RIP

As promised by the ABC promos “someone on the island [did] not survive another day”. I was not expecting Mr. Eko to be man-handled like that by the black smoke but I think it was a fitting farewell.

‘Lost’ 3.01: A Tale of Two Cities

A Tale of Two Cities

Lost returns with a bang – not knowing what to expect from the season premiere of Lost, except from what was shown during the commercials, I was hoping for another shocking reveal like last season. As usual lost didn’t disappoint, I should have known better but I was not expecting the first scene to be on the island.
