Penny-Arcade, a video game comic strip, posted a ‘Lost’ comic today claiming that the show has fallen of its horse. Im not sure I am ready to go as far as saying ‘Lost’ is lost but this season so far just doesn’t seem right to me. What does everyone else think of the state of “Lost”?
Here is what the writers said about their latest comic.
I’m acting as Gabe’s proxy in this strip - essentially, he’s “broken up” with Lost. It’s complicated by the fact that he holds weekly “Lost Nights,” where Lost-themed snacks are sometimes offered, but he’s come to conclusion that there’s no story actually being told. He no longer believes that events are happening according to some overarching plan. Watching the show now is apparently awful, because where he once perceived a carefully revealed structure he now just sees a couple guys out back beneath a tarp, flashlights held under the chin.

The comic strip wasn’t funny, hehe.
Regarding the state of Lost, I guess the show is on somewhat shaky ground considering all the new directions the story is taking. I really like The Others. Ben and Juliet are great and everything about their little scheme to convert Jack, Kate and Sawyer is really intriguing.
When it comes to the survivors on the beach things are going up and down in my opinion. I really like Desmond and his whole precognition thing, and Locke is still a very strong character, but I strongly dislike the new characters; Paulo and Nikki. I strongly suspect that they where added to give information to the show’s new viewers. Charlie has been rather annoying this season and I’m a bit upset about not having seen Rose and Bernard a single time, but on the whole, I still have faith in Lost.
The show has some weak points and some very strong points, but independently of which way you look at it, Lost is still one of the best shows on television!

The Lost Blog
ABC, try this during the break or in the future:
1. Show only 2 repeats during each month.
2. Run a behind the scenes show about the actors, the special effects and the music etc. on the 3rd week.
3. Then during the last Wednesday of each month show a new episode.
We can see 3 new shows during the 3 month break, the fans will be happier and it will be less frustrating. Oh and also advance the story a bit more.
If the show manages to last 6 years, only 6 months will have passed in Lost Island time. Can the show get more slower or what?
