The countdown on the Hanso Foundation Genomic Advancement page reached zero yesterday. The “disease” link was removed and there is now a hidden text field below the picture of the students.
A member of our forum posted that the password is “parthenogenesis“.
You will see a silhouette of a man and a shark, with the Dharma Initiative logo on its side, dead on a beach. Click the Dharma Initiative tattoo to return to the site.
I think the password is more important that the actual clue itself, here is a little information about the process from wikipedia.
Parthenogenesis has nothing to do with artificial animal cloning, though the process is a form of natural cloning. In April 2004, scientists at Tokyo University of Agriculture used parthenogenesis to successfully create fatherless mice. The alternation between parthenogenesis and sexual reproduction is called heterogamy. Forms of reproduction related to parthenogenesis but that require the presence of sperm are known as gynogenesis and hybridogenesis.

Sorry if this has been noted before, but if you hover over the red parts of the examples of mutant and normal cells at the top of the “Genomic Advancement” page, the words “retrivers of truth” appear in the scan of the lungs.
The shark is very interesting. When the Others blow up the raft and Michael and Sawyer are in the water, the shark goes by them. I have been watching the second season again, and I think the episode is the one this week coming up or it was last week. The Sharks fin carries the Darma Logo, but if you pause your tivo the center of the logo has an arrow on it. The one in this clue does not. It has the swan. does anyone know the differences?
