The Ausiello Report has posted some casting news for the third season of Lost. The descriptions for the new characters include two women and a male.
Female, thirties, with leadership qualities
Female, early twenties, very attractive
Male, Latino, early twenties, handsome, mysterious quality

I think its more others.
Ausiello says it could be background survivors but I think it will be some of the Others or the people taken by the others.
