Last nights episode of Lost, entitled “Three Minutes”, felt like the calm before the storm. There wasn’t much island mythology but it seemed like they were setting up a few things for the finale. Eko has moved into the hatch and has noticed the magnetic door, Charlie and Claire have patched things up, Locke has given up with the hatch and has gone off into the jungle, and Sayid has caught onto Michael’s plot and has started to devise a plan.
The flashbacks during this episode took place 13 days earlier when Michael was captured by the others. Michael was taken to a beach side camp and held in a tent by someone named Ms Clue Mrs Klugh. She explained to Michael that one of her people (Henry Gale) had been captured. If Michael could find a way to help him escape he and Walt would be set free but he must also bring Jack, Sawyer, Hurley and Kate back to the camp unwillingly.
At the end of the episode the flight 815 survivors bury Libby and Ana Lucia but Sun and Claire notice a sailboat drifting into shore.
What was everyones thoughts about this episode?

My interest is in Mrs. Clue, the lady in the camp of the others.
Why does she want Jack, Sawyer, Hurley and Kate?
What’s going on with her concern (upon her first appearance) regarding Michael’s relationship with Walt?
The Boat at the end of the episode interests me inasmuch as Michael asked for a boat from the others when he agreed to the contract with the others.
Let’s talk, people!
I think Ms Clue may be being instructed to order Michael. She almost seems like one of the people that work with the children. That boat looked abandoned to me so I wouldn’t doubt that is the boat sent for Michael. It could also be another crash on the island. Maybe there will be a few new characters added.
I think it’s full of empty gas canisters. hopefully desmond is on it.
I was thinking Desmond could be on it too, but where would he get a boat?
I believe that Desmond is on the ship. Also “Mrs. Clue” is spelled Mrs. Klugh.
Thanks Nicko for the correction.
Did anyone else notice the shape of the tents the Others live in?
Same shape as the Dharma (or Bagua)& the fabric was Army camo. Also when Ana-Lucia fist came into play she found an old Army knife.
What if the Army has taken over where Hanso left off continuing the
expereiments. It could explain Zeke’s attitude (forceful yet doesn’t
kill). What if its a virtual reality thing?
Hey, first off nice site! (Seen it on ASO)
Ehm well, as for the others. I believe that the others are infact good people. They take people that are good and look after them, like Claire, they wanted to save the baby, and how Henry said to Locke that he was captured while on a mission to get Locke.
As for the boat, Desmond crashed on the island while on a solo race around the world, so it could very well be his boat. Desmond re-appears next episode (so ive heard) and this again point to him. And in the episode when Desmond runs off, where could he go?
My 2 cents.
The way the boat looked brand new and also abandoned reminded me of the horse Kate saw.. It really doesn’t make any sense.. Unless there is some new people arriving on the island.
Also, i forgot to add above.
As for the Hanso thing, when Walt is in the tent with Micheal he mentions how they give him tests.
Also, where did the parachute of food get dropped from in a few episodes past?
I am thinking that the Others are either trying to understand or exploit Walt’s powers by doing different test on him. If you remember the Orientation film it looked like they were doing test on a few people.
[…] Here is the intense preview for the two hour season finale of Lost entitled “Live Together, Die Alone” shown at the end of Three Minutes. […]
Remember when Mrs klugh asked michael if Walt appears in places.I
Wonder if she is refuring to the times he showed wet in shannons tent and before she got shot. If you noticed when they showed the
boat the sails were down and wrapped up. To go further into walt.
On the plane Hurle was reading a comic book, on the back page was
a gaint Polar bear.. He gives this to walt to read and then they
see gaint polar bear. He also touch locks arm and told him not to
open the hatch, without knowing that he had found the hatch..As
the island has healed the survivers maybe it has given walt a gift.
HE told Micheal they are not what the appear to be.. Remember when
kate and claire went back to see where she was being held. they found a bag with a fake beard, and clothes. Also the dark haired girl
that knocked micheal out and helped free claire, anyone know that was thefrench ladys daughter (rusio). For what i can gather the others are conducting experiments that have long been abandoned. I believe it is goverment run. Well thats it for know..
From what I can gather, I don’t think the Others are particularly good. They tried pretty hard to get Claire’s baby, and were planning to kill her after they had got it from her. They took Walt and tried to kill Sawyer, Michael and Jin at the same time. They used Kate as a bargaining tool to force Jack and the group back to base. So on and so on. Im wondering if the explanation for the Others is going to be good, or is going to make the series “Jump the shark” so to speak…
