If you haven’t visited the new Hanso Foundation site already I recommend you do that before reading the rest of this post. When requesting the newsletter on the Hanso Foundation website you are interrupted by someone calling themselves “Persephone” and they attempt to relay a message to you.
In Greek mythology Persephone was a queen of the Underworld, the young maiden and daughter of Demeter, Greek goddess of agriculture.
Persephone isn’t the first reference to a greek myth. Earlier this season we saw the Swan’s blast door mention a cerberus system.
The figure of Persephone is a well-known one today. Her story has great emotional power: an innocent maiden; a mother’s grief at the abduction and the return of her daughter. It is also cited frequently as a paradigm of myths that explain natural processes, with the descent and return of the goddess bringing about the change of seasons.

Yes, but what is the password?
The password is “breakingstrain.” Sorry I should have put it in this post as well. But it is in the first post I did on the subject.
You wouldn’t happen to have a login to the site?
I dont think so. Everything that has been discovered I have posted in these posts. The two big things are the newsletter and the Joop message.
I think Persephone is supposed to be Alex. The french womans duaghter. It makes sence because persephone speaks like a young person would, Not anyone from dharma. The name Persephone aslo makes sense because Alex was the dughter of Rousso and taken to dharma (the enemy) to stay. Dharma would represent haties the god of the underworld, (the one who kidnapped persephone). Like in the story It is imposible for her to leave because With out Dharma she is suppseptible to the “sickness”. she aslo Tried to help claire escape from the Dharma scientist earlier on, which proves that she is still good.
According to Micheal when he said in the latest episode that the kids are in the hatch, Alex would have acsess to the Dharma computer.
It all ties together. Woot!
Nice connection Mimi. That is very similar to what i was thinking.
[…] Click the circled date and you will see a message from Persephone mentioning the difference between Alvar’s photo and the other executives. Persephone: “Notice the grainy far away picture? It doesn’t match anyone else” […]
[…] Thomas Mittelwerk’s Caltech records appear with a underlined name. Click the name and Persephone sends you this message: Persephone: Caltech has no record of this guy in their alumni database. He’s never made a tuition payment. Does he even have a college degree? Why does he call himself a doctor? Of what. Who is this clown? […]

Thanks for commenting Katie, apparently there is a lot of things to still be figured out but each will be unlocked separately with time. So I bet in the time over the summer we will learn more about the secrets of the Hanso Foundation.

[…] Persephone has sent us another Hanso Foundation clue on Peter Thompson’s bio page. You will notice a bunch of letters flickering in his picture. If you can slow down the animation, I did this by clicking off the browser window, you can easily see that this says: “SURVIVORGUILT”. Directly underneath Peter’s picture is a hidden password box, enter the code and you will see another clue. […]
